4th June 2026

June marks Pride Month, a time to celebrate the diversity, resilience, achievements, and contributions of LGBTQ+ communities across the world. At FHA, we are proud to stand alongside our tenants, colleagues, partners, and communities in recognising the importance of equality, inclusion, and respect for all. Pride Month is both a celebration and an opportunity for reflection. It reminds us of the progress that has been made towards greater equality while recognising that there is still work to do to ensure everyone can live safely, confidently, and authentically. As a provider of specialist supported housing, FHA understands the importance of creating environments where people feel accepted, valued, and empowered to be themselves. A safe home provides more than shelter; it provides security, dignity, independence, and a sense of belonging. These are principles that underpin everything we do.
Championing Inclusive Communities
The housing sector is strengthened by the diverse experiences, perspectives, and voices of LGBTQ+ individuals. Whether as tenants, employees, care providers, volunteers, or leaders, LGBTQ+ people make an invaluable contribution to creating vibrant, inclusive communities. At FHA, we are committed to ensuring that our homes and services are welcoming and accessible to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or background. We believe that diversity enriches our organisation and helps us deliver better services for the people we support.
Our Commitment to Equality and Inclusion
FHA is committed to fostering a culture built on dignity, respect, fairness, and opportunity. We actively promote LGBTQ+ inclusion through:
- Providing safe, secure, and supportive housing where discrimination, harassment, and prejudice are not tolerated.
- Creating a workplace culture where colleagues feel respected, represented, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
- Working with partners and care providers who share our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Encouraging tenant engagement and ensuring that all voices are heard and valued in shaping our services.
- Providing training and awareness opportunities to help our teams better understand and support the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
- Promoting policies and practices that support fairness, accessibility, and equal opportunities for all.
Creating Lasting Change
While Pride Month is an important opportunity to celebrate and raise awareness, our commitment to equality extends far beyond June. We recognise that creating truly inclusive communities requires ongoing action, learning, and engagement throughout the year. At FHA, we continually strive to ensure that inclusion is embedded within our culture, services, governance, and decision-making. By listening, learning, and working collaboratively with tenants and partners, we can help create environments where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to thrive.
Standing Together with Pride
As we celebrate Pride Month 2026, we reaffirm our commitment to being an inclusive organisation where diversity is embraced and everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We thank our tenants, colleagues, care providers, and partners who help make FHA a welcoming and inclusive community. Together, we continue to build homes, services, and communities where people can live independently, confidently, and proudly as themselves.
From everyone at FHA, we wish you a happy, safe, and inspiring Pride Month 2026.
